This past Saturday, Arizona’s own Audrey Jimenez continued to build upon her impressive wrestling resume with a 2023 US Open Championships at 50kg. She was one of two high school wrestlers who competed at this past weekend’s US Senior Women’s Open in Las Vegas.
The local Sunnyside standout did exactly that this weekend! She stood out, and showed her exemplary skills and mindset for the world to examine! She is tough, tenacious and extremely technical. After all, she is a multiple time state champion.
Jimenez is no stranger to success, which why this isn’t surprising to us because the Tucson, Az native has been winning and doing it at a high level for quite some time. Jimenez is a 3x state champion at Sunnyside high school and is looking to capture her 4th title next year!
Jimenez won the Marines western regional tournament in all three styles in 2019. Audrey is a 2-division champion at the AZ-USAW Chandler freestyle tournament in 2021. She is also the 2023 U20 women’s National champion and a 2021 Junior World silver medalist.
Tune in to FloWrestling on June 10th, to watch Audrey Jimenez take part in the Final X in Newark, N. J., where she will compete against 2020 Olympic bronze medalist and three-time World medalist - Sarah Hildebrandt.
