Érik Gregorio Pérez Ruvalcaba, known to the fight world as ‘Goyito Perez’ is one of the pioneers and premier mma fighters to hail from the fight capital of the world we know as Mexico. Goyito currently competes in the Bantamweight-division of the Bellator MMA promotion.
Goyito embodies the Mexican Fighting Spirit in every facet and walk of life, from his mental fortitude, to his rigorous physical discipline & his love for life. Fighting is in his blood. Goyito shares the love of competition with his brothers, Ivan Perez and Lupe Perez, who also compete professionally as mixed martial artist. Goyito also has an older brother - Jorge Perez who competes as a professional boxer.
It’s safe to say, Goyito was bred for combative sports since an early age, which has taken him all over the world and landed him in San Diego along the likes of teammates such as Dominick Cruz, Jeremy Stephens, Myles Jury, Phil Davis, Angela Hill - under the training and close eye of legendary coach, Eric Del Fierro.
Most recently, Goyito celebrated his notable win and dominant victory at Bellator 258 against opponent - Blaine Shutt. It’s safe to say that Pérez shut out his foe with a relentless pace and ruthless pressure, both in the feet and on the mat. Both skill and will were on display, and his impressive performance will see him climbing the Bellator Bantamweight ranks, eventually leading to his run at a World Title!
