The Fight Rope athlete is a familiar one to the cage, the ring, and the training room. The Lil Heathen has been training hard for his upcoming boxing match against Chris Avila on August 5th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This 8-round fight will be one for the ages to watch as the level of brutality will be on display as both fighters have knock out power in their fists.
As part of his training regimen Jeremy Stephens incorporates a fight rope and uses one as the fight approaches. In boxing as in MMA his dedication to the craft is what makes him dangerous, with the fighting rage of a bezerker and the endurance to wage war for hours.
His game plan is always “Pain” echoing the sentiment by the fictional bad guy Clubber Lang from Rocky III, but his passion and style lend to the more heroic Apollo Creed or Rocky Balboa. Outside of the cage and outside of the ring Heathen takes a scientific approach to recovery and training but dedicates his raw rage and fierce determination to a multifaceted training camp.
The lessons imparted by this dedicated athlete is to focus upcoming battles in a way that both the brutality and swift action is trained with an artist's eye to detail, a scientist's approach to an experiment, and a physician understanding of the human body and its care. The fighter and athlete are a multimillion-dollar investment and should be treated with ultimate care.
This includes mental health, the month of June was here and gone, but there seemed to be a lack of discussion for Men’s Mental Health month. Thefightrope.com’s athletes are fathers, brothers, husbands, and they matter.
Support your athlete, support the warriors in your life and see their passion for training as a gift to their brain and happiness. As we prepare to watch Jeremy Stephens fight in August remember that he too fights for men's mental health and wants you to reach out to someone if you are facing crisis.
LETS GO LIL HEATHEN!!!
